Reno
Based Baldwin Exploration Corp is an independent
exploration and production company focusing
primarily on discovering and developing new
oil and gas reserves in the United States. The
company's leaseholds are located in three prolific
hydrocarbon-bearing basins, the Williston Basin
of North Dakota, the Bighorn Basin of Wyoming
and Montana and the Illinois Basin of Western
Kentucky.
North Dakota
White lake Field is located in Montrail County,
North Dakota. Baldwin Exploration is the operator
of this prospect and we have drilled 2 exploratory
wells on this prospect. We are currently producing
from one well and preparing to complete the
second. our lease hold contains 3,200 gross,
1,216 net acres. Located in the heart of the
active Bakken play Baldwin Exploration has a
38% working interest in this field.
Clear Lake Field is located in Montrail County,
North Dakota. Baldwin Exploration is the operator
of this field and has a 100% working interest
in this prospect. This prospect also located
in the Bakken play has Madison potential as
well.
Montana
North Clarks Fork is located in the Big Horn
Basin, Montana, this prospect consists of 1,280
gross (1,280 net) acres. This field was discovered
by British American in 1956 and produced 1.1
million barrels of oil and 2.8 bcf of natural
gas over a 4 year period. This represents only
a portion of the recoverable reserves.
BEC believes that with current technology they
can produce the remaining recoverable reserves.
BEC has a 100% working interest. BEC has retained
the services of an independent engineering firm
to evaluate and provide a proved oil and gas
reserve report before drilling.
Kentucky
Located within the Illinois Basin, Kentucky,
this prospect consists of 5,200 gross (5,200
net) acres. Baldwin Exploration plans to explore
the potential of oil and the New Albany Shale
for natural gas.
Baldwin has also purchased leases (5,230
acres) in the Green River Basin which have been
conveyed to large independents. Baldwin Exploration
has retained significant royalties from any
production from this acreage.
